TERMS AND CONDITIONS (AGB)

§ 1 Scope & Provider

These Terms and Conditions apply to the use of the mobile application "Tarot to GO" and the associated website (https://www.tarottogo.app/), operated by:

Damon BaslerKampstraße 2020357 HamburgGermanyEmail: tarottogo@sezaba.dePhone: +4915156940462Website: https://www.tarottogo.app/

These Terms and Conditions are version 1.0 and are effective as of 24 July 2026.

§ 2 Description of Services & Entertainment Disclaimer

(1) "Tarot to GO" provides digital tools for drawing, scanning, and managing tarot cards, as well as topic-specific interpretation texts.

(2) Important Notice: The content, card readings, and interpretations provided in the app and on the website are strictly for entertainment and self-reflection purposes only.

(3) The interpretation content does not constitute medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice and does not replace consultation with qualified professionals (e.g., medical doctors, lawyers, or financial advisors).

(4) The app makes no prediction of future events, and no particular outcome is owed.

(5) Card recognition from a photograph is performed automatically by an AI vision model and may produce incorrect results. Please check the recognized cards and correct them where necessary.

§ 3 Eligibility

(1) Use of the app is permitted for persons aged 16 and over.

(2) Persons with limited legal capacity require the consent of their legal guardian in order to take out a paid subscription.

§ 4 User Account

(1) The app requires no registration. On first use, an anonymous user account is created automatically and is linked to a randomly generated user ID.

(2) This account is bound to the app installation. If you delete the app without saving your user ID, or delete your profile, access to the stored content is irretrievably lost. There is no password-based recovery, because no personal login data is stored. Please take this into account before deleting.

(3) You may delete your account at any time in the app under Settings.

§ 5 User Content and Responsibility

(1) You are responsible for the content you enter or upload — in particular the name in your profile, your profile picture, your notes and journal entries, and the photographs you take for card recognition.

(2) You warrant that you hold the necessary rights to such content and that it does not infringe the rights of third parties or applicable law.

(3) You grant the provider the simple right, limited to the purpose of operating the app, to store this content and to display it back to you. Beyond this the provider acquires no rights to your content, and does not use it for advertising or for training AI models.

§ 6 Prohibited Use

Users must not:

  • use the app in an unlawful manner or for unlawful purposes;
  • upload content that is unlawful, infringes the rights of others, or is offensive;
  • upload images of other persons without their consent;
  • impair, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the app, the backend, or connected services;
  • circumvent technical protection measures, in particular those relating to the paid features;
  • systematically read out, copy, or commercially exploit the app or its content by automated means.

§ 7 Premium Subscriptions

(1) Scope of the free version. Digital draws, interpretations, and the card of the day are available free of charge. Free use of digital draws is subject to a daily usage limit under paragraph (13). Premium removes that limit and additionally unlocks photo card scanning and permanent storage of the full tarot journal.

(2) Plans. Premium is offered as an auto-renewing subscription with a monthly or an annual billing period. Which plans are actually available follows from the offer displayed in the app at the relevant time.

(3) Prices. The applicable price in your local currency is displayed in the app before purchase, together with the billing period. Only the price displayed in the app or in the respective store at the time of purchase applies; earlier statements are non-binding.

(4) Conclusion of contract and payment. The purchase is made through the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. Payment is charged to your Apple Account or your Google Play account under the terms of the relevant store, which also acts as the payment processor. We receive no payment data.

(5) Automatic renewal. The subscription renews automatically for the same billing period and at the price then in force, unless it is cancelled before the end of the current period in accordance with the rules of the respective store. With Apple, cancellation must be made at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

(6) Cancellation. Cancellation is made exclusively through the store used for the purchase — on iOS in the subscription settings of your Apple Account, on Android in the subscription settings of Google Play. We cannot cancel a subscription on your behalf.

(7) Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Deleting your Tarot to GO profile removes your data, including your customer record at our subscription provider, but does not terminate the store-side subscription and does not trigger a refund. Please cancel first, then delete.

(8) Free trial. A free trial period is only available if it is actually offered for the selected plan. In that case the app displays the trial before purchase. If a trial is not cancelled before it ends, it converts into a paid subscription under the store's rules.

(9) Restoring purchases. An existing subscription can be restored in the app at any time via "Restore purchases". The restore is made against the store account used for the purchase.

(10) Cross-platform access. The entitlement is linked to your Tarot to GO profile and not to the device, so it is available in the app on the same profile. Please note that a subscription taken out through Apple can only be managed and cancelled through Apple, and one taken out through Google only through Google.

(11) Refunds and right of withdrawal. Refunds and any statutory right of withdrawal for digital content are handled under the rules of the relevant store, which is your contractual partner for payment processing. Please direct requests to Apple or Google.

(12) Processing of purchase data. Purchase and entitlement information is processed by the service provider RevenueCat as described in the Privacy Policy (https://www.tarottogo.app/privacy).

(13) Fair use and daily usage limits. Daily usage limits and technical restrictions on request frequency apply to the free version and to Premium alike. They serve to protect against abusive, automated, or excessive use and to keep the service stable. The values currently in force are shown in the app or provided on request; the provider may adjust them for good cause — in particular to prevent abuse or to maintain operational stability — with effect for the future. There is no entitlement to any particular volume of use.

§ 8 Pricing & Small Business Regulation (Kleinunternehmerregelung)

(1) If paid features or in-app purchases are offered, the prices listed in the App Store / Google Play Store apply.

(2) In accordance with § 19 UStG (German Sales Tax Act), value added tax (VAT) is not charged or displayed due to small business status ("Kleinunternehmerregelung").

§ 9 Availability, Changes and Termination

(1) The provider endeavours to keep the app available, but owes no particular level of availability. Maintenance work, technical faults, and interruptions at upstream service providers may lead to temporary restrictions.

(2) The provider may further develop, change, or discontinue features, provided the core purpose of a paid subscription is preserved for its remaining term. Where a change is materially detrimental to users, the provider will give notice of it in an appropriate manner.

(3) The provider may block or terminate access if a user seriously or repeatedly breaches these Terms, in particular § 6. Any statutory claims of the user remain unaffected.

(4) Users may stop using the app at any time and delete their account.

§ 10 Intellectual Property Rights

The app, its written card interpretations, texts, branding, and interface designs created by the provider within the app and on the website are protected by copyright. Reproduction, editing, or distribution outside the app functions requires prior written consent from the provider. The tarot card artwork is the classic Rider-Waite-Smith deck (Pamela Colman Smith, 1909) and is in the public domain; the provider claims no copyright over it.

§ 11 Liability

(1) The provider is liable without limitation for damage arising from injury to life, body, or health that is based on a breach of duty by the provider, and for other damage based on an intentional or grossly negligent breach of duty by the provider.

(2) In the case of a slightly negligent breach of material contractual obligations (cardinal obligations), the provider's liability is limited in amount to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract. Material contractual obligations are those whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose observance the user may regularly rely.

(3) Any further liability is excluded.

(4) Liability under the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz) remains unaffected.

(5) Given the entertainment purpose set out in § 2, the provider accepts no liability for decisions that users make on the basis of interpretation content, or for the accuracy of automated card recognition.

§ 12 Changes to These Terms

(1) The provider may amend these Terms where this is necessary owing to changes in the law, court rulings, or the further development of the app, and where users are not thereby disadvantaged contrary to good faith.

(2) Users will be notified of changes in an appropriate manner before they take effect. The current version is always available at https://www.tarottogo.app/terms.

§ 13 Governing Law & Severability

(1) The laws of the Federal Republic of Germany apply. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of the state in which the user has their habitual residence remain unaffected.

(2) Should any provision of these terms be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
